BEN SOLLEE is a Kentucky cellist, stylist, songwriter, and composer known for his political activism. His music incorporates banjo, guitar, and mandolin along with percussion and unusual cello techniques. His songs exhibit a mix of folk, bluegrass, jazz, and R&B. His latest album is called LONG HAUL.
THE PLEASURES are an exceptional roots duo with renowned Australian singer-songwriter Catherine Britt – mother, breast cancer survivor, multi-Golden Guitar winner, multi-ARIA nominee, fifteen-time Grand Ole Opry performer and Melbourne’s Lachlan Bryan – modern day troubadour, songwriter’s songwriter, Golden Guitar winner and consummate story-teller. Their much anticipated debut album The Beginning Of The End was released just worldwide.
After nearly 50 years of dormancy since its closing in 1963, The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center is dedicated to honoring its past while maintaining a strong vision for the further development of the greater Lexington & Bluegrass community. ‘The mission of the Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center is to preserve, promote, present, and celebrate diverse cultures through artistic presentations of the highest quality, educational programming and outreach, film, and opportunities for community inclusion.
