A new stage for Lexington’s stories.
A Platform for Lexington’s Voices
The Lyric Podcast Station will be a home for original programming created by and for our community—preserving local history, celebrating Black culture, introducing new artists, supporting entrepreneurs and creating space for thoughtful conversations across generations.
The goal is not simply to produce podcasts.
The goal is to create a community media platform.
Our Podcast Room
At the center of the station will be a dedicated space for interviews, conversations, roundtables and original productions.
Interview Shows
One-on-one conversations with artists, leaders, educators, historians and community voices.
Roundtables
Multiple guests exploring important issues, ideas and cultural topics.
Storytelling
Personal histories, oral histories, documentaries and community stories.
Arts + Entertainment
Music, theatre, film, books, visual art and cultural conversations.
Youth Programming
Programs created with and for young people.
Business + Entrepreneurship
Conversations with business owners, innovators and creators.
Stories Don’t Always
Happen Behind a Desk.
Instead of asking every story to come to us, sometimes we will take the microphone to the story.
In the Studio
Programs recorded in the Lyric Podcast Room, elsewhere inside the theatre or in the Lyric library.
In the Community
Programs recorded at local businesses, schools, organizations, neighborhoods and community events.
On Location
Special episodes recorded where Lexington’s history, culture and events are unfolding.
Where History Meets What’s Next
The East End has produced generations of families, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, civic leaders and community institutions. The Podcast Station offers another way to preserve that history while documenting what is happening now.
The East End should not only be remembered.
It should be heard.

Strong hosts do not necessarily need years of broadcasting experience. Curiosity, empathy, community knowledge and the ability to listen can be just as powerful.
